While we were in Colorado, we spent some time in the mountains.
The day at Loveland was cold with lots of wind and blowing snow ~ and I wasn't feeling really well...a little altitude sickness, I think.
The two days at Copper were glorious with sunny blue skies and 10 inches of new snow. Tuesday Chris and Jim (from our small group in WI ~ now living in Littleton) came out and spent the day with us. Great fun.
Colorado is being hit with the terribleRocky Mountain pine beetle epidemic and many of the trees appear to be dying. It will look a lot different in the future if
most of these trees are gone.
