Calgary ~ Heritage Park Historical Village and Skyline Luge

We spent the day in Calgary

This living history museum was fabulous.  The entrance fee included the boat ride and all the amusement park rides.  It was interesting, educational, interactive ~ just a great day!

We also went to the Skyway Luge at the Olympic Park in Calgary. Mot was the longest and fastest Alpine Ride we had ever experienced!  Great fun!

Lake Louise ~ Agnes Teahouse Trail

Today we headed up the valley in Banff NP to Lake Louise.  What a pretty spot!  Today we hiked up to Agnes Teahouse and enjoyed up picnic lunch.

                            These kids are becoming great hikers ~ we went nearly 8 miles today.
                You are looking at 2 five year olds, one nearly 7 year old, a 9 year old and a 12 year old!

                         Mirror Lake was a nice rest stop along the way up to Agnes Teahouse!

Banff National Park ~ Lake Johnson and Minnewanka

We did not have good internet connection  much of the time at the resort where we were staying, so I gave up trying to post every day...was just too frustrating.  So I am doing this now at the end of July!

 Lake Johnson had been recommended to us as a pretty hike around the lake.  It was flat and only a couple of miles, so it was a good place to start on our first day into Banff National Park in Alberta Canada.  It was overcast and cool but there was no rain.

                       Next we made our way over to Lake Minnewanka.  Our first task was LUNCH!
