Redeemer meets in a Marriott Hotel Ball Room so it is a very nice setting. I have really enjoyed the music and the order of worship, which includes a lot of prayer.
This week we sang a couple of songs that really spoke to me.
Keith Getty & Stuart Townend's Across the Lands has been one of my favorite for a long time...such a great description of Jesus' work in the world. The last verse and refrain...
Now you stand before the Father,
Interceding for your own;
From each tribe and tongue and nation,
You are leading sinners home.
You're the Author of creation;
You're The Lord of every man;
And Your cry of love rings out across the lands.
Then a Keith and Kristyn Getty and Stuart Townend song that is new to me...There is an Everlasting Kindness. Again, the last verse and refrain...
How beautiful the feet that carry
this Gospel of peace
to the fields of injustice
and the valleys of need
To be a voice of hope and healing
to answer the cries
of the hungry and helpless
With the mercy of Christ
What boundless love, what fathomless grace
You have shown us O God of compassion
Each day we live an offering of praise
As we show to the world your compassion
A great encouragement as we serve....
The sermon today was from Matthew 23:31-46
A great reminder and challenge as we serve...
And the King will answer them, 'Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.
A good morning, indeed!

Great way to sum up your blog entry. Love the words of the last song....wow, that would be a tough one to sing w/o shedding a few tears.
