Dubai Mall

You will see people from around the world at the Dubai Mall.  It's massive and draws crowds day and night.  You will pass by 1200 retail stores, 120 cafes and restaurants, 22 movie screens, an ice skating rink, and numerous play stations of one sort or another.  Over. The. Top.

The metro is a few blocks from the mall but you walk in cool comfort on an enclosed bridge from the metro to the mall.

The range of stores goes from Clair's and Payless Shoes...

...to Lamborghini and high end clothing stores from London and Paris...

22 stores have Arabic Fashions...

Over 30 candy and ice cream stores...with Candylicious being the largest candy store in the world.

So, you get the idea.  They like to be the biggest and best around here...

Andy and I took the metro Downtown late this morning, hoping to find a book a friend in the States wanted.  It took us a while just to find the massive bookstore with its own stop on the elevator.  Unfortunately, it isn't in print anymore and they cannot get it for her.  Bummer...

We had lunch in THE most upscale food court I have ever been in.  Unfortunately, I found myself so hungry I didnt take any pictures.   Maybe next time.  It was very nice.  We ate at Jimmy the Greek, but there was German, Chinese, Italian, Iranian, Lebanese, American fast food....it goes on and on.

Fun to people watch...I bought 3 postcards and some stamps...the Murdif City Centre is more in my price range...
