Mid morning we were together with some friends in the neighborhood who love the people of Saudi Arabia. It was a national holiday there today and some thought it would be a good day to lift them up. Andy and I learned so much just by listening and agreeing with with their prayers. Quite an encouraging time to share in their commitment to love and care for others.
When Andy and I stopped for lunch we realized he was eating the last pieces of bread in the house, so after lunch I ventured out to the local grocery store up the street to get some bread and to get a little walk in. Think again...I made it about a mile and was dripping wet. It wasn't too too bad in the shade, but most of the way I was in the hot sun. Nuts...I really miss being outside! Maybe tomorrow.
Our friends D and R who help so much with cleaning and gardening are back from the Philippimes. They love to cook and often make a Filipino meal midweek. It was fantastic. So appreciate them!
Veggies, pork, and the tiny little string-like noodles, with spring rolls on the side. Very tasty and I'm sure it is good for us, too!
Andy and I still find ourselves heading for our room by 8:30 or nine to read a bit and go to bed. The heat, even tho it is under 100, just wears you out! That's all folks!
