The Rest of the Day

The last place we stopped was at a Yarra Valley Chocolaterie.  It was incredible.  I'm told the Aussies cannot do Easter without their chocolate!  The gal at the store said they expect 10s of thousands to come in the next few weeks!

One kilo 2.2 pounds One Bar

One young man was really determined I needed my picture taken with the yardstick length chocolate bar!
Unfortunately the light in the large building was not conducive for taking pictures.

I thought these floppy earred ones were sweet and so different.

They had all the major Australian animals - kangaroo, crocodile, wombat, and kuala.  From the weight I think they were solid chocolate!

By the front door they had these big cars filled with white, milk, and dark chocolate buds.  You could use the spoon and scoop out some to eat - as many as you want.  Yum - it was very good quality.  I tried all three.  We were there for a while, you know!

The trip back into Melbourne was uneventful.  Traffic wasn't too bad.  He dropped us off at China town.

We made our way to the free tram and rode toward the Docklands on the water.  At the end of the line we got off and walked to the Melbourne Star...one of the big Farris wheels.  We thot about waiting til dusk to see the lights of the city but we were weary from the long day and just hopped on and enjoyed the views.

This is toward the harbor, not far away. Phillips Bay is off in the distance.

I was facinated by the wheel and it's working parts.

The bridge out towards the ocean.

Still working on selfies - with downtown behind us...

Great fun - one time around - just over 30 minutes - had the car to ourselves.  Saw a sign just before we got on ~~ there are cameras watching each car!

Got back to the hotel pretty easily - tram to Spencer Street and walk a few blocks down Spencer to the Vibe!  Great way to end our time in Melbourne...the most visited  city in the county.

PS
Meant to add this pic.  The chocolate store had an entire section of "chocolate therapy"
It included chocolate flavored lip balm, shampoo, lotion....I cannot remember them all but it was crazy!  I tried the lotion it didn't think it smelled too good...
