We went to three wineries! The first was Rochford, which seemed hip, modern and very classy. We had a wonderful meal with a glass of wine. It was all 5 stars! Felt like we were at a culinary school getting their best meal. Andy had salmon and I had beef. The bread was warm and very tasty. The mango dessert was small but refreshing!
After lunch we walked around the grounds, which are substantial. They were setting up for a musical wine festival they are hosting next week - 16,000 planning to attend!
I am not a wine lover, but I decided to join in the fun for the day. I tried each of the wines they offered.. just a sip.
The second winery was classic - looked French to me. Everyone said the wines were not quite as nice - may have been newer wines.
But they had very nice surroundings!
The third one was a farm. Rustic and honey. Very inviting. I enjoyed walking around the place while the others tasted the wines
