So very grateful....

While on The Way today I thought about our first three weeks in Spain and how faithful God has been to us.   It has been an amazing time and we can feel His Presence and His Care for us in so many ways...

Safety in travel getting here with no hassles
Help in navigating strange roads with strange signs we cannot always read
Protection when we turned onto an off ramp to the interstate and had to turn around
Guidance as we made our way into Barcelona on the train
      A beautiful day in Montserrat
Help from some giggling preteens in a park who thought it was fun to help some Americans find  their way to the Nelson's home
An encouraging visit with Jon and Meta
Guidance again when the directions to the car rental place didn't work so well
Getting a place to stay every day so far without any hassle
Having new and old experiences in the types of Albergues we have found - some old and historic   and some new and convenient
Strength that first day over the mountain
God's incredible creativity in the panoramic views those first few days - still breathtaking as I think of them
An easier, shorter day every few days
       Andy's patience and flexibility
       Enjoyable, restful days off
       Virtually no rain!
Friendly locals who sense our confusion and point us in the right direction
A helpful hostess in Estella who share information with us with great joy
Sweet rest in a quiet room
Endurance to the end some long days
Perseverance to the end when my shins hurt
Young people who have been so friendly and visit with us at every connection - heartwarming
       A pretty view for lunch
A smile from an old Nun while walking through Pamplona
A cheerful "Buen Camino" from locals walking past us on the street
A wave from an old women looking down on us from her balcony
Sweet wild flowers along the path
A Camino sign just when we need a confirmation we are going the right way
       The brilliant sun rises
The big beautiful full moon this week

Your writings today reminded me of one of my favorite quotes:
"To love and to be loved is like feeling the sun from both sides." btw: It could be sun or Son ;-)
Thanks again for sharing....I eagerly log on everyday to hear how God is blessing you in so many amazing ways.
Prayers and hugs coming your way...love, Carol
