Another Picture Postcard kind of day

We started the day with a marvelous 2 hour hike - Queens Garden, Navajo, and the Rim.  Such beauty and such variety...so many surprises around each bend.  Really enjoyed every minute, even the inclines!

Early in the day it was a little cool.  I had a windbreaker on but didn't need it for long.  We have been meeting LOTS of Germans on this trip.  They love Utah...many have been more than once.  They love to hike in areas so different from what they have at home.  They are always surprised and delighted to hear that we have lived in Germany and enjoyed it so much.  We ate breakfast with a nice German couple and then later we offered to take a young German couples picture at this spot...so they returned the favor.

This narrow cavern was near the top br Sundown Overlook.  Amazing to see what water can do.  There was a series of short steep switchbacks to come up out of the cavern...much like the wiggles at Zion.

We hiked across the rim at the top to get back to Sunrise Overlook where we started our hike.

We drove to Fairyland Overlook - the last one!  We ate our lunch there on a bench by the overlook - had the place to ourselves. The sun was warm, the view was spectacular.
