Bryce National Park Overlooks

Bryce Canyon has one long road with about 14 lookout stops.  You drive 18 miles to the end of the road and then make your way back...all the lookouts are on the east side, so no one is making left hand turns and slowing traffic down.  Really a pretty good plan.  They have 1.5 million visitors a year.

Each stop is a different amphitheater with a different look and feel.  Each one is incredible.
On a clear day you can see 100 miles away.  It is almost overwhelming.  So much to take in and enjoy.
By the end of the 3-4 hours it takes to enjoy them all, you are on overload.

We arrived in the area about 1:30, found a place to spend the night and then visited about 10 of the overlooks.  We saved the rest for Saturday.

Ravens are plentiful....and always looking for a handout.

The scientists who are monitoring the erosion and effects of the waterfall use these trees as one indication of the erosion.  Many of the root systems for the trees are completely exposed.   They estimate 12 inches erodes every 60 years.

Natural bridges, arches, and windows add interest.

Colors are magnificent.  Pictures show how beautiful it is in winter...the park is open 24 hours a day all year long.

I could post many more, but I don't want to bore you.  You really must go see for yourself.  God has given us so many beautiful natural  places to enjoy.  I'm grateful.  And I will end with this with a selfie at Bryce Point where there are hundreds - maybe thousands - of HooDoos.
