Mushrif Park by Day

This morning I was driving by the park where I have been walking with friends on Monday nights - in the dark!  I decided to pull in and see the park by day...it was full of fun and surprises!

Right now there are many workers on the grounds cleaning up, repairing, adding, preparing for the cooler winter season when people spend much more time outside.

There is a huge area where children can play in a variety of homes from around the world.  This log home represents Norway...

Flowers and bushes are starting to bloom again...

Here is a Chinese home to play in...

And a Burma home to enjoy!

The grounds have a variety of trees
and lots of sand.

I could walk in the shade most of the time but my face was dripping with sweat  before long.

Ever seen a merry-go-round full of camels?  Very cute!  There was a huge section of what they labeled 'electronic toys'.  I saw a train, a carousel, little cars...looked like great fun.

The sand just about burned my feet!

They even had a huge Smurf town!

Must have been a dozen mushroom houses!

I've not heard many birds singing since we have been here, but the park was filled with them today.

Here's a Wind Tower House - very effective air flow system used in forts and homes...

They labeled this an Arabian House...

And this a Nubian House...

Leaving the park to go grocery shopping in air conditioning comfort!  I'm glad I stopped by.  There were swimming pool (men's and womens), an equestrian club, jogging and biking trails, a huge water slide, regular playground equipment, a ring for camel rides, picnic tables galore.  The place must be filled with families in the cooler weather of winter!  Nice!
