Global Village

Later that evening a few of us went to the Global Village - a wonderland with buildings representing 35-40 countries around the world, an amusement park,  an incredible assortment of restaurants and kiosks with snacks and meals, entertainment....somethng for everyone.  Inside the buildings venders and craftsman come from around the world to sell their wares and perform.

The US pavilion is new this year.  Compared with many others it's, in my opinion, kind of hokie with a western theme.  We didn't even go in...

Thailand was beautiful done...

The Ferris wheel can be seen throughout the park and had a  light show of its own.

Faith and I went on this ride - about 18 stories high, we could see the lights far and wide'. Great fun!

Faith and Gary tested the Krispy Kreme to see if they were as good as at home...they did not disappoint.  We don't have them in Milwaukee but you can fine them all over Dubai!

China and India were spectacular...

They are located right on the water where you can take a boat  ride around the park....And take a selfie on the bridge!

We were at the Village  till about 9:30 and people were still streaming in.

15 dirham, less than four dollars gets you in - seniors get in free so it' doesn't have to be real expensive.
