Faces of China ~ in Shibaozhai and on the Ship

Just a few pictures of people we observed walking through the small town of Shiboazhai on our way to a Taoist Temple.

Tourists...from two different parts of the world...

Is she cute or what???

This old guy had no problem with me taking his picture.  In fact, he enjoyed it.
Some people in the larger cities would put their hands up and shout, "No pictures!" or demand "One American dollar!" to have their picture taken.

Wash day...right at the river near where we came off the ship.

He seemed to enjoy doing his wash!

Looked like Grandma and Granddaughter to me!  They enjoyed posing for me.
Some of the older, poorer Chinese seem very stern and downtrodden.  Others seem so very happy and content.

The ONLY jade plant I remember seeing in all of our travels.!

A tour of the bridge on the Century Star.

Our Cruise Director...

The Officer in Charge when we went on the tour...

The Captain's Reception the last night of the cruise...
the first guy in the reception line was the Captain...he didn't speak any English and didn't seem real happy to be with us.  He rushed off to the Bridge soon after!

Our sweet waitress at our tour's two tables the week of the cruise.  She was cutting the fish for us at a very nice 5 course meal the last evening.

The Chef came to make sure our food was acceptable...
