Worship at Redeemer

Yesterday we enjoyed worship at Redeemer Church of Dubai.  We will really miss it when we go home in November. The prayers and the songs seem to really touch my heart, teach me new truth, make me aware of my sin, and bring me into God's presence.  Tears flow.  My heart, mind, and soul are encouraged and uplifted.

This week the line up of songs could not have been better. We especially like Keith and Kristyn Getty & Stuart Townend!

Come People of the Risen King

'Rejoice, rejoice, let every tongue rejoice!
One heart, one voice;
Oh Church of Christ rejoice.

Come young and old from every land...
Over all the world His people sing,
Shore to shore we hear them call
The truth that cries through ever age, Our God is all in all!'

Oh my - the place just rocks!

And Can It Be by Charles Wesley

O Great God by Bob Kauflin

Then for Communion what could be better than Behold the Lamb?  Every stanza -
     and we remember,
     eat and remember,
     drink and remember,
     and to remember...

So we share in this bread of life,
And we drink of His sacrifice
As a sign of our bonds of
    peace, love, grace
Around the table of the King!

In closing, Oh How Good It Is!

'So with one voice we'll sing to the Lord
And with one heart we'll live out His word
Till the whole earth sees The Redeemer had come
For He dwells in the presence of His people.'

Amazing!

Heaven seems close and I long to be there.

Praying and joining in song with people's from around the world...many nations, many colors, joined as one.
Truly amazing.

The congregation is so in tune with the music, the power, the meaning of the words...
Their response to what they are hearing and singing...how they are feeling and responding...
Simply amazing.

We are grateful!
