A Day Filled with Details

It's been a low key day filled with details...some kinda important and some not so much.  After breakfast for nine, Andy and I needed to reconcile our petty cash and then I had to go to the Mall to pay the phone bill.  Around the house the honey jar needed to be refilled, cereal containers needed more cereal, the tea station needed replenishing, and the Christmas linens needed to be sorted.

Lunch came around and some cupboards needed to be cleaned out and organized.  Andy and I had to finalize the plans for our visa run next week....you get the idea.

It's the little things...and they take time.

We get flyers stuck into the front gate almost every day.  Today we found this ad from a very upscale British hotel in the Wafi Mall (Egyptian theme).

'Start the countdown to Christmas at the magical tree lighting ceremony, as the Raffles Christmas tree is gloriously lit up.  Sing traditional tunes, delight in festive treats and there is also a special appearance from Santa Claus.'

Pretty amazing they are not calling it a holiday event.  They are celebrating Christmas!

They are also advertising a Christmas Market serving traditional Christmas food and beverages as well.

Interesting!

I received this sweet note from the mom and daughter who were visiting this week...we went to the Mushrif Park together yesterday, remember?

Tonight we took our friends and fellow workers out for dinner.  Last year we waited too long and then couldn't find a time to go out before we left.  We know the schedule will just get busier as Christmas comes, so we went to Rosa Mexicano at the City Center Mall - where else?!?

This guy didn't have much personality but he whipped up a great guacamole!

During the week this place is dead but Friday - Sunday it rocks.  Very good and colorful food!

I look a little tired in this picture...
I am a little tired.
Haven't been sleeping all that well.
As you think of it,
Pray for us!
